I don’t write about lingerie on my little blog as much as I am obsessed with it, so I am delighted to get out that funk and show you one of my favorite lingerie designers: Ayten Gasson (and her Spring 2011 collection)

Ayten’s lingerie is pure silk, trimmed with Nottingham lace and inspired by anything vintage. I can’t get enough of her simple yet SUCH glamorous styles (Marilyn Monroe would have been a big fan!) For her Spring collection UK designer Ayten Gasson used the history of the British fashion industry and nature as an inspiration. If you adore pin-up girls, vintage and spectacular quality you have to check out Ayten Gasson’s work.

The beautiful corsetry work Miss Hansen designs every season has been
a favorite of mine (think of her as the Betsey Johnson of corsetry)

This past collection that was shown during Madrid Fashion Week in February
had a lot of heavy metal/rock influences

Mix of elegance in gowns and the bad-ass look of heavy metal?

Karl Lagerfeld is purely talented and amazing (we all know this) There have been times when I questioned if I really liked him, especially when I read he doesnt like fat people…? (read it here)
but I have made a final decision and I am pretty much in love with this man.

These corsets are not only high fashion, but have extreme high-function.
And as the Tactical Corsets company states “why should men get all the high-speed low-drag tactical toys”? and they are right,
now women can be bad-ass, sexy AND have a place to put their bullets.. bingo!

p.s please tell me I am not the only who thinks these bad boys should be
a mandatory uniform for female cops now a days… (my inner feminist weeps)

Lingerie as outerwear? is a post from: Miss Neira - Fashion, Beauty, Style

As we all already know this spring trend has been taking over the runway as well as the streets. Of course being the lingerie lover that I am, you can take into account how excited I am for this lovely trend to appear.

For the Spring/Summer 2010 collections, designers like Dolce & Gabbana and John Galliano rocked the runway with Galliano’s haunting Parisienne look and Gabbana’s flirty and tailored frocks. Whether you keep up with the runway looks or you channel the urban fashion, you know lingerie is hardly “unmentionable”.

I guess the real question here is.. is it appropriate? or is it just fashion moving forward?

For all of you who have been reading my little blog for awhile (and I thank you) you would know I am all for this look, and done in the RIGHT way can look extremely classy and incredibly sexy.. but in the wrong way.. yes
it can look highly inappropriate.

I am the last person to judge any look, I believe every woman (and man) can wear what ever they want and make it their own style. But..

The stockings and the garter belt peeking out is very sexy to me!
