I apologize for the absence the past week!
Searching for an internship, working so many days and getting
ready for my last year of college has been keeping me busy and
away from the computer and any technology! ahh
Last week I had the pleasure of going to the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood
party here in Boston. VIP seating, yummy cocktails and a great rooftop party!
I ended up meeting fellow fashion bloggers! Kinsey, Katy
from Tangerine Hearts and Jaime from La vie… J’aime
They were so lovely (and so gorgeous)

dress: LIT boutique// shoes: Steve Madden// belt: nooo idea so let’s call it vintage =)

I will be away for a whole week on vacation!
Posting will be regular by Tuesday, September 7th!
Hope everyone has a great week..miss you all!
xoxo

We all know Herve Leger was the 1st designer in the 80s to bring the bandage dress
on to the runway, and eventually went all the way to the streets.
I personally believe a girl should have a couple of simple
bandage dresses in their closet.. they are flattering for almost
any shape and are just goddamn sexy.
These tight little frocks have been getting a lot more play
the last couple of seasons and now you can get them
for an affordable price, with even better styles.

Bandage Ruched dress
£45.00 or $71.00
Topshop

Lace One Shoulder dress
$27.80
Forever 21

Keyhole Back dress
$49.00
Arden B

Dani Crepe dress
$128.00
French Connection

Mesh Ruched dress
£45.00 or $71.00
Topshop
Do you wear bandage dresses?!

The Cannes Film Festival is one of my favorite events for fashion in the year.
The celebrity ladies try just a little bit harder at looking glamorous in
the best possible designer names (unfortunately they don’t try this hard for the Oscars)
These are some of my favorites…

Salma Hayek in Gucci

Kate Beckinsale in Gucci

and in Balmain!
(girl deserves double favorite.. she rocked it this year)

Toni Praver in ??
DISASTER

Naomi Campbell in Roberto Cavalli
(Tina Turner puked glitter and this dress was born)
What were some of your favorites? (and not so favorite)

(This guest post was written by Pammy Rosen)
who will soon have her own fashion blog!
Typically when you hear about a new clothing line started by a celebrity you don’t connote it with success. Celebrity-founded fashion lines typically are not known to be much more than another line of clothing for the general public that uses the celebrity name to market it. This, however, is not the case for the William Rast clothing line.

William Rast is a California-based fashion line that was founded by pop sensation Justin Timberlake and his best friend Trace Ayala. Over the past few years this brand has been garnering more and more attention since it first hit retail stores in November of 2005. The brand name for the clothing line William Rast came from a combination of Timberlake’s grandfather “William” and Ayala’s grandfather “Rast,” to suggest themes of family, friendship, history and heritage within their brand.

Inspired by Dixieland, William Rast pays homage to American denim heritage by using the highest quality of craftsmanship and fabrics in their denim pieces. The brand encompasses many themes of biker and western culture within their designs. As the brand continues to expand, you can find it being sold at more and more retailers including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstroms, Fred Segal, Lisa Kline, Blue Genes, Harvey Nichols and other major boutiques.

Spring 2010 collection
This year’s Spring/Summer collection took the next step in the evolution of William Rast’s prospering brand. Timberlake and Ayala have titled this collection “New America” which refers to an idea of what the modern day discoverer would look like. This season had a bit of a softer edge in their women’s collection going for the concept of a “sex tomboy with a lot of class.” The color pallet of the collection has gone a bit more versatile this season with bright blues and yellows along with their usual blacks and grays.

This season also featured less studding and more bondage lacing. The most stellar looks of the collection featured several variations of denim leggings that were paired with their ever gorgeous and trendy cropped leather jackets. The hot, must have pieces from the collection includes a western inspired lace button-down, motorcycle jackets with oversized or scalloped outlined lapels, ruffle vests, and waistcoats with zippers. And of course their selection of William Rast jeans on sale is always fabulous with this season’s collection showcasing worn straight-cut classical jeans with their signature embroidered slashed “V” on the back pockets.

What do you get when you put a bulletproof and a corset together?
a tactical corset!

who said corsets had to be feminine?
These corsets are not only high fashion, but have extreme high-function.
And as the Tactical Corsets company states “why should men get all the high-speed low-drag tactical toys”? and they are right,
now women can be bad-ass, sexy AND have a place to put their bullets.. bingo!

p.s please tell me I am not the only who thinks these bad boys should be
a mandatory uniform for female cops now a days… (my inner feminist weeps)
Go on their website to see more! (and order if you dare)

Whether you wear dresses or prefer to wear things without any breeze, every girl finds a reason to enjoy Spring with floral dresses (we all have the little girl inside us wearing your mother’s pearls and wanting to play tea party)

…has been my new obsession as of late. I just got caught up with the last 2 seasons and just started the new 3rd one. It is f****** brilliant.
U.K seems to produce amazing shows (really should think about moving there!) as for the show…I am falling in love with the main character (Belle de Jour) yes she is a prostitute but god darn it she makes it look so glamorous!
The fashion on the show is a definite favorite of mine. I love the sex appeal, raunchiness and of course the LINGERIE.

This pretty girl is my current girl crush (and my boyfriend’s)
She is so gorgeous and has such a lovely style, on the set of GG and off!
Her look for a little less:
and of course underneath the gorgeous navy coat you can wear any funky tunic you like!
