Tight Frocks
Posted in Fashion on 09. Aug, 2010
We all know Herve Leger was the 1st designer in the 80s to bring the bandage dress
on to the runway, and eventually went all the way to the streets.
I personally believe a girl should have a couple of simple
bandage dresses in their closet.. they are flattering for almost
any shape and are just goddamn sexy.
These tight little frocks have been getting a lot more play
the last couple of seasons and now you can get them
for an affordable price, with even better styles.

Do you wear bandage dresses?!

Yes. Hell yes. The bandage dress (and her spirited little sister, the bandage skirt) are evergreen items.
These are great finds Neira. You have me all set for an F21 trip. May I recommend to you and our friends a little run through either Macys or Dillards too. Lots of I.N.C, BCBG and XOXO bandage looks, many deeply discounted.
So sad to see these great garments looking for good homes. All they want to do is cling and make people happy :). Everybody, go shopping now!

Love that first dress!
I think bandage dresses are amazing but I’m too scared to wear them! I always think they’ll reveal my lumps and bumps! Maybe I should give on a try though
I love the first and blue dress…those are tight fitting dresses…
good for curvy gals like me hahahaha!!!
love this one my dear!!
take care
much love

Well I must say not really. I am more boho chic. But If I have a place to wear it, I would choose first one.
Also, thank you so much for featuring my blog on your site. You are so nice <3
I love the first one and the last one. I wore a tight frock on vacation in Hawaii recently. Still not sure I love them on me though…

I’m more of a loose, comfy dress girl myself, but they look great on celebs like Kim Kardashian!
I absolutely love the look of bandage dresses. They are flattering on everyone. I have some that are similar and from BCBG, but unfortunately the Herve Leger styles don’t work with my budget. But I’m loving all the less expensive substitutes!

do those bandage dresses come with an hour glass figure?
because that would be grrrrreat
That French Connection number is so sexy! Love the navy!
I looove bandage dresses. They can be totally modest looking, but with that tight silhouette still be ultra sexy!
I love bandage dresses: they’re definitely a staple. I absolutely love the Topshop one.
Much as I love them I wore them the first time round and I reckon it looks a bit tragic when you’ve done it before.
Love the TopShop one best! xxx
I have been looking for one, but have yet to find that “perfect” one

This is one style I’m too timid to try! I tend to flock more toward flowy, boho shapes. But I do own one bandage skirt with an exposed zipper… probably the closest thing to “sexy” in my entire wardrobe! The top dress you featured reminds me vaguely of the Calvin Klein number “Cher” sports in “Clueless”!
“What’s that?” “It’s a dress, daddy!” “Says who?” “Calvin Klein!”
i love the french connection dress!
Love these!
Believe it or not, I’m getting a bandage dress made as I type. For a bridesmaid’s dress, no less (it’s got a poofier skirt so it’s not so sexy).
Fingers crossed it turns out beautifully!

Nice selection; I don’t wear any lol but which one would you buy?
I rented a Herve Leger from Rent the Runway for my birthday last month. You pretty much have to have a perfect body to really rock it- everyone says they give you curves and holds in the bad ones–IDK the material was really, really heavy too so I kept feeling really hot and like I couldn’t move around v. well.
They’re not easy to wear. But on the right body they’re amazing- I just looked cute not hot.
