Bold New York and Classy Boston…
My New York trip was great! I forgot how much I missed the city
and my best friend of course.. (and the shopping!)
I try to go at least once a year but I might have to double that.
What I learned from my trip to NYC this summer…
1. Zombie Hut- A tiki bar in Brooklyn (between Degraw St & Sackett St) I highly recommend going here for the zombie bowl (the tiki bar version of a scorpion bowl).. its purely amazing! You get to play board games in a nice patio area while you get incredibly happy from drinks at an affordable price. GO THERE
2. Century 21- WHY WAS I NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS PLACE BEFORE? its like Marshall’s on steroids. Burberry flats for $100.00? yes please.
3. Manhattan and Brooklyn- I love you Brooklyn… Manhattan, I’m not too sure I like you much anymore. Upper east side…you are the exception.
4. The People- I have been living in Boston for over ten years so obviously I am used to the conservative and old fashioned attitude people have here.. but New York totally exceeds the definition of the word ATTITUDE. I love it.
5. Fashion- To point it out plain and simple.. I wish Boston had the balls to get away with some of the fashion New York streets has.

Dear Neira
You are a natural born New Yorker. It is easy to see how completely you get the place.
Please share more stories, pics, places etc. I need to live vicariously through you and other NY bound friends as it does not look like I will get any Apple time in this year :(.
Glad you can make Dots look so good. I have had zero luck there, and the staff there just has not made me feel too too welcome. As for the Zara dress, I have the I.N.C. knock off and it is a real head turner. Yours comes to life though. I am mad jealous of your calves too.
Welcome home!
I totally agree, even though some of my best friends are the opposite of me…but when you get together you really picture yourself in her shoes…
you look lovely dear!
always

Aw, sounds like a fantastic trip! I love visiting friends in NY, too (mostly Brooklyn nowadays, which I also just love).
Your shoes! So sexy. Were they hard to walk in?
I love the Zara dress! I would love to go to New York…
Really nice blog!

So I was going to do the whole one item I want a day until Saturday but then I realized there’s a lot of things I want… (big surprise there) soooo some things I crave for the moment…
New York sounds so great. You both look so lovely. Your are so pretty.
Neira you are so gorgeous <3
You both look gorgeous, darling!
I heart NYC, especially Century 21!

Hey we both had the same trip! Mine was great too!
You girls are too cute! Looks like you had a great vacation in NY! I’m going next month (two words: Fashion Week!) and cannot wait to get back! (NY is my old stomping grounds, but I do love Boston, too.)
I know exactly what you mean about Manhattan… when I last visited in June, I was very disappointed over various things. I still love both the Upper West and Upper East Sides, but Brooklyn is so much more fun and bohemian…I feel like I fit right in! Soho is still fun, but crazy and crowded as ever. I’d like NY better with about a third of the people, but then… you’d practically have Boston. Except Boston is SEVERELY lacking in the fashion department… I mean, no Century 21? Hello! At least we DO have Zara though. And Marc Jacobs. <3 Life isn't all that bad!
sounds like it was fun! i want to go to that zombie place!
Looks like you had a blast! I’m dying to go to Century 21.
Thanks for stopping by G&G.

Hi Neira, your friend is as beautiful as you, great pics. I agree with Petra, your calves are great, you should flaunt your legs more often on your site…
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for leaving a thought on my last post. I cannot agree with you more on your statement. By the way the heels you were wearing in this post are super sexy!
Have a lovely weekend.
Colin.
Century 21 pretty much changed my life. It’s on par with the discovery of Topshop or Loehmann’s, but of course I haven’t been to NY in ages! I need to set aside at LEAST 2 hours for a Century 21 run every time I’m in town.
Cuuute red dress! You look so sassy in it!
